Create a location, which is also known as a venue, for a building in order to deploy an indoor positioning service. The venue is a collection of floor plans and metadata that is used to set up an indoor positioning system
- IndoorAtlas MapCreator application uses floor plans as the visual aid when you do the fingerprinting. Make sure you upload high-quality enough floor plans to make fingerprinting easier for yourself. The floor plans are just for fingerprinting, which means that you can later use any 3rd party floor plan images in your final application.
- Metadata includes floor numbers and floor height. Floor height information is used as an additional piece of information to help the algorithms to recognize floor changes.
- Place the floor plans accurately to the right geo-coordinates. Scale errors in placing floor plans will have adverse effects on the positioning quality.
